释义 | I read the passage of Unit 6 in this weekend. This passage talks something about advertisements. Nowadays, because the development of the technology and economic, advertisements are everywhere in many different types. We can see a lot of advertisements in the TV programs no matter it is a commercial break or not.When we are walking along the street, we can see many large pieces of paper on the wall. Pop star or beautiful women and men are on them. It is advertisement without word which is named post. Generally, advertisements are in our daily life. Everything needs to be advertised. In the sencond paragraph, the author points out that consumers' immunity to the advertisements are not so efficient as they think. The advertisements still have a lot of effect on them. I agree with the author. Because I think someone who thinks they have the immunity to the advertisements only think advertisements are useless but not false. They will be defenseless when they are watching advertisements. Then the advertisers have put an impression in their mind. Then when they need something, they will buy the product according to the first impression. They think what they buy is good. No matter the product is good or not, they have been attacked by the advertisements. Now let's talk about claims in the advertisements. It is an improtant part of the advertisements. Creative claims in the advertisements can help to give a deep impression to the audience. Sometimes the advertisements are judged to be good becuase of the good claims. But no matter the claims are good or not, they only help to the advertisements. It is not helpful for the choice of the consumers. Sometimes I think it's a kind of weapon to attack the consumers for the advertisements. Now competition is among advertisements too. I think it is another reason which cause the false imformation in the advertisements. Almost every product today will have a advertisement. So many advertisements will cause the illsion of the consumers' judgement. And the competition between different brand are not allowed to attack different brand. So the advertisements will give false claim in order to expand the effect of the product. Then false imformation comes out. In other aspect, the products does not increase faster enough than the advertisements. So we have limited product but unlimited advertisements cause the useless advertisements which is useless for the consumers. Then the consumers become to think they have immunity to the advertisements in order to form a bad circle. |
