Because they are team-paper companies. It must be companies that writing dissertations for other company or other people. In paragraph eleven, a mother of a nursery schooler gives us an opinion that is [delete] “cheating is too much a part of human nature”. The meaning of “too much” is excessive, how can the author uses [use] it to describe “a part of human nature”? From her attitude to her children’s cheating, I think she really wants to say that cheating is human nature, most people cheated when they were young. But I do not agree with her, because I think the action of children is related to their education from their parents. Turning to paragraph twelve, there is a phase “honor code” puzzled [puzzling] me. What does it mean?From the whole passage, I guess it means the standard of moral. But I am not sure about it. I think paragraph thirteen and fourteen are easily to understand. In my understanding, the last sentence of paragraph fourteen means students know that a same answer for the question in the open-book test is unbelievably, so they will not cheat with each other, and they should depend on themselves. Therefore, this is a good approach to stop students cheating and the students leaning [learn] something useful not just memorize unimportant facts and formals. In Paragraph fifteen, the author introduces us an interesting way to avoid cheating. The Cornell University wants to change the purpose of exams in order to avoid cheating. Till now, the purpose of exam is evaluating the students. It is so important to the students. So they will cheat in order to get high scores. But if we change the purpose, we use the exam as a tool to help the students. I think it will avoid cheating in some way. Here, I have a question. The company will give an exam to the candidate in order to choose the right employees. I think we can't avoid cheating in this kind of exams by changing the purpose. Then I found it's really hard to avoid cheating in our society. |
