释义 | I read the passage5 and passage6 of unit5.In passage5, the author proves that the benefits of being good-looking don’t spring entirely from one’s being sexually attractive. And the relationship between good-looking and sexually attractive through young children. Because young children are not sexually mature, they are innocent. Then the author write about the adults judge children they are similarly biased, not for sexually attractive but their appearances. So the writer believes there is a law about appearance: beauty is good. In passage6, beautiful people, are assumed to possess certain desirable traits although other things being equal. They are thought to be better. They young children are educated that “what is beautiful is good”,so they believe it all the time. If he or she is pretty, everybody loves you. |
