The students do not care about the cheating, it is normal to them. The reason of that should de(be) conclude(conculded) to their parents. The parents always want to have a(the) best child in others’ view. They required their children strictly in order to show off to others. The behavior of showing off ignores the teenagers and young people’s moral development. It is important to be an honest person. But their view just fixed on success not the process. The youths would do anything to achieve the purpose in order to win the praise from their parents. The direct way to get a good performance is the exam. Especially the good students, they are afraid to be a failure. Most of them choose to cheat, even if it is an action of treating. To the other side, it shows that their self-esteem is not enough. But the chances are, soon or later, our lie will be found out and it will then expose us to shame. And once we have told a lie, we can’t help telling another in order to conceal the first one, and then a third and a fourth…Personal experience teaches us that it is not an honest behavior that steals in shop or cheating in the exam. But in our mind, it is not serious for cheating. That is the problem. The inconsistency drives us crazy. Maybe the parents would be shame when they know their children were cheating in school’ exam. But they do not know that when they talk(talking), their children were listening carefully, they just copy the action and behavior from their parents. The model is dishonest, so they might be a dishonest in young. And the youths also want to get win-win performance, one is good performance, and the other is a relaxed feeling. The sentence “several schools are trying to cut down on the opportunity to cheat by giving more open-book exams.” means that the schools trying to help students to be honest in the exams. But the deeper meaning is that this method was not workable. I do not know the word “on” in this sentence stands for what, when I ask others, they do not know too. I think I could solve this question in the class with teacher’s help. |
