Then the writer use “they want to know”twice to emphsize the workers value.He seems to know the reason why they work so hard.The last sentence of paragraph 4 is a that- clause.The object is employees, the “enthusiastically”use to modify the verb”contribute”.The employees’tough work in their corporation in order to achieve their individual value. Here is the paragraph 5.In terms of this section,the center meaning of the passage is the first sentence. “The profitability of a company is related to the quality and efforts of its workers.”In another words,the quality and efforts are the key of the company profitability.Then the author take an example of Compaq Computers.The word turnover of my understanding is the rate of change between the human. “Like most companies in the computer field,Compaq expects its people to work long and hard to achieve big results quickly.”In this sentence, “its people”point the employees in Compaq,and “big results” means their outstanding performance.In the last sentence in para5, before “be rewarded”leaving the object “Compaq”out.Here means the company will get more if the employees perform their potential in a biggest way. |
