一直很想要推广一下30 seconds to mars这支乐队，其实我还是最爱这种比较硬又不太噪的美式的Hard Rock。

30 Seconds to Mars，Jared和Shannon两兄弟在1998年组成的乐队，成员目前共3人。 Jared并不只是乐队的主唱，在第一张专辑里，他包括了除了鼓手之外几乎所有的工作，主唱、吉它、贝斯、合成、编排……乐队的成名曲也出自Jared之手。对外联系工作及乐队采访也大多由他出面。所以，Jared绝对可以说是这个乐队的灵魂人物，他也采取了出人意料的严肃态度去对待自己的音乐。

最初Robert Sarzo跟Tony Cavazo就是被Quiet Riot的Kevin DuBrow挖出来的。当他们决定组建一支乐队的时候, Sarzo和Cavazo找来了Kelly Hansen做主唱, 同时还找来了鼓手Jay Schellen 和吉他Michael Guy. 当时几乎没有厂牌对他们感兴趣, 乐队决定自己搞一张专辑试试看，于是就有了那张Take What You Want. 结果这张专辑相当不错，加上持续的巡演，乐队才最终被一个大厂牌签约。

事情是这样的，1986 和1987 年的时候，他们为著名的基督金属乐队Styper暖场，然后签约到跟Styper同样的厂牌Enigma Records。

1988年，乐队发行了他们真正意义上的首张——Over the Edge，这张唱片一发行就登上了唱片排行榜的前100，其中的两首经典I'm Onto You和Over the Edge还被单独作为单曲发行。

1989年，Sarzo离开了乐队，Lion的前任吉他手Doug Aldrich取代了他的位置。然后乐队在99年发行了Slave to the Thrill这张。Allmusic Guide电台当时评价说这是这个乐队最受争议的一张,远不及前一张成功（瞎说，这张明明也很好啦~）. 尽管如此这张专辑没有前一张成功跟当时的人们喜欢的音乐风格改变有关(事实上，这张跟前一张哪张才是Hurricane最好的专辑在他们的FANS群中还有很大的争论).这张专辑发行后不久, Aldrich离队加入House of Lords，余下其他成员在Grunge的冲击下也很快各奔东西了。

07年有消息说Hurricane的原吉他手Robert Sarzo在计划重组发行新专，但到现在还是没有明确消息。
