1983年7月毕业于太原理工大学，获学士学位；1985~1994年在轻工业部日用化学研究所工作，并于1990年9月获硕士学位。

1994 10 – 1995 9: 访问学者, Bristol University, UK. Visiting scholar，

1995 10 – 1999.3: 博士， Hull University, UK. Doctor

1999 9 – 2002. 9: Research Fellow, the University of Greenwich.

2003.3 – : 武汉大学化学与分子科学学院，任教。

教学：

主讲化学与分子科学学院研究生课程 “表面活性剂化学”。

我的研究兴趣在于以表面活性剂为典型的双亲分子的物化性能、在界面的吸附、溶液中的有序自组装行为以及双亲分子在现代药物传递和环境科学中的应用。

I am interested in studying interfacial properties and organized self-assembly behaviour of amphiphiles (e.g surfactants), particularly their applications in cutting edge technologies such as modern drug delivery systems and environmental science.
