剧情简介

改编自约翰史坦贝克的经典小说，描述在30年代美国经济大萧条的时期，有一个Joad家族随着成千的俄克拉荷马州的农民一样，忍痛离乡背景到加州谋生，尽管现实不如理想，遭人排挤、压柞，但他们仍不放弃希望。

本片不仅是导演约翰福特的杰作之一，同时它也经由电影语言纪录了当时美国社会的辛酸、悲痛，无论在编、导、演、摄、乐方面皆表现出高超的水准。

不但当年首映时引起广大的共鸣外，即使在五十多年后再观看《怒火之花》仍能感受到它的雄浑气魄、强烈的控诉性及人性光辉。

美国电影学会在'77年将本片选为美国十大佳片之一，而全美影评人于 '73年票选中也选它为“十部美国最伟大电影”之一。评论家曾这样评论：“如果说小说对道义的愤怒使人难忘，影片则是由于它的美使人难忘。”

幕后制作

影片有明显的社会主义倾向，对社会问题进行了批判现实主义的揭露，堪称是对资本主义罪恶的有力抨击。但该片当年在苏联没有通过审查，原因是苏联的审查官无法理解为什么美国最贫穷的家庭会拥有一辆卡车，他们认为这有美化资本主义的嫌疑。
