英国的独立的流行乐The Beautiful South成立于于1989年,主唱是保罗西顿和鼓手大卫Hemmingway组成了美丽的南部乐队。乐队风格：爵士、R&B。歌词常带有讽刺,愤世嫉俗。,1994年发表的专辑,取得双白金销量成为英国畅销专辑。在九十年代的英国是相当受欢迎的。
