林南 女，京剧（黄梅戏）演员：曾就读于江苏省戏剧学校京剧表演专业，后到南京师范大学学习新闻传播；来加之前为江苏省广播电视总台电视节目主持人、编辑；曾任江苏省京剧专业演员，擅长演出的京剧剧目包括“卖水”、“拾玉镯”、“金玉奴”、“霸王姬”等；曾参与多部影视作品的演出，她主演的黄梅戏戏曲电视连续剧“玉堂春”饰苏三获得中国电视文艺最高奖“金膺奖”(1994)，她本人获得金膺奖最佳女主角提名。

林南小学位于常州市武进区，是一所全日制完全小学。

林南小学创建于2002年9月，是由横林镇的东方、南方、镇西、青司唐四所完小合并而成的一所以新市民子女为主要生源的村级小学，占地面积15330平方米。学校现有20个教学班，900多名学生，48位老师，其中区级学科带头人、骨干教师7人。2007年5月，林南小学成为独立建制学校。

武进区林南小学位于横林镇林南村，占地面积15333平方米，建筑面积7123平方米。是在2002年9月，由东方、南方、镇西、青司塘四所村级完全小学合并而成的一所上规模的村级小学，2007年5月31日，学校成为独立建制的法人单位。学校现有20个教学班，955名学生，45名教师。

学校创建后，作为一所上规模的村级小学，学校面临着许多的薄弱环节，如教学设施缺乏，教师结构不合理，学生发展不平衡……在横林镇是名副其实的薄弱学校。而学校施教区的镇西工业园又是企业集中的地方，吸引了许多外来务工人员。因此，许多新市民子女就读于我校，全校955名学生中，新市民子女就占了近80%。这些学生由于以前学校的教学设施、师资质量、以及家庭教育的原因，行为习惯、学习习惯等方面很不理想，这严重影响了我校教育教学质量的进一步提高。

学校以“办人民满意的教育”为宗旨，坚持“全面发展，快乐成长”理念，秉承“争优创优、求是求真”的校风，致力打造“本真课堂”，优化育人环境，让学生学有所得，使家长称心满意。

自学校独立建制以来，在学校领导和老师的努力之下，学校先后被评为区青年文明号、区绿色学校、区校务公开先进单位、区学校工会建设二等奖、市中小学教育装备建设达标学校、市示范图书馆等荣誉。
