| 释义 | After I read paragraph 6 to 7, I have thought this two paragraphs. In paragraph 6 the main idea is quality of life [which]is important to[for] today’s workers. I think “quality of life” means on the job workers enjoy[ing] their work and corporate culture, off the job they can do something they like. “To balance” means they carry out requirements of their job and meet the needs of the family. In the sentence “in a stable and motivated workforce” the word “workforce” I can not understand very clearly so I look it up in the dictionary. It means “all the people who work in a particular industry or company, or are available to work in a particular country or area.” So I know the “workforce” in this sentence means “workers”. In paragraph 7 the main idea is many workers do not like stay in the same job for their whole life they want opportunities to know much more than before. The word “marketable” in this paragraph stop me reading. I know the word “market” and from the whole sentence I guess the word “marketable” means “popular” in this paragraph. In this paragraph the author makes an example to tell many companies how to make [draw]the workers attention to their jobs. This is my own understanding of paragraph 6 and 7. |
