Indeed, I have a correct idea. But I can not guess the meaning of other two words, then I look them up and understand the meaning of toot and horn. The formal means tongue and the latter is an instrument. Even understand their meaning, I still can not translate the sentence to be it is useless to play the instrument, actually it means it is useless to show off. .The last new word to me is strut, which has the same meaning with show off, to contrast with the phrase, it is a easy expression. To the content of the article, I agree with this sentence” and like narcissistic showoffs who are willing to do anything to be and stay the center of attention”. Indeed, many people do this in our life, they always narcissistic showoffs to draw other people’ attention and show others they are welcomed in every bunch. It is the need of their lifestyle. |
