| 释义 | Today I read the paragraph 1 to paragraph 6 in article of ‘human behavior’. In paragraph 1 , there are some questions for me ,first , I do not understand what is the different (the words去掉) between ‘suffering’ and ‘anguish’ . As you know they have the same Chinese meaning if translate those from English into Chinese. I look them up in the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary with this question. To my surprise, the meaning of ‘suffering’ is when you experience physical or mental pain. And the meaning of ‘anguish’ is extreme unhappiness caused by physical or mental suffering. Why author use（uses） the word ‘very’ three times and what is the author’s purpose. the question take me by surprise and I am bewitched, bothered and bewildered. I ask classmates the question, she tells me it express one's Strength of emotion. The author said that the woman is showing off.(But) I don’t think so. |
