| 释义 | § 桑林祷雨 原文 昔者汤克夏而正天下，天大旱，五年不收。汤乃以身祷于桑林，曰：“余一人有罪，无及万夫，万夫有罪，在余一人；无以一人之不敏，使上帝鬼神伤民之命。”于是翦其发，磿其手，以身为牺牲，用祈福于上帝。民乃甚悦，雨乃大至。[《吕氏春秋"顺民篇》] 1.正，君有。 2.桑林，高诱注：“桑林之山，能兴云作雨也。”当即殷的高禖神坛，其地在殷都毫附近。 3.不敏，迟钝不达事理。 4.翦，通“剪”。 5.磿，音立，以木压十指而缚之。 双语对译 传说商代开国之君成汤灭夏之后，天大旱，整五年颗粒无收。汤于是亲自在桑林中祈求降雨，他说：“我一人有罪不要殃及百姓，若百姓有罪，也由我一人承担，莫要因为一人触犯了上天，而使鬼神作出伤害百姓性命的事来。”不久之后，天降甘霖。 After Tang overthrew the Xia Dynasty and ascended the throne,there was a severe drought and for five long years people harvested nothing.Tang then went to the forest on Mount Shang and pray,"If I have done anything wrong, please do not punish my subjects;if my subjects have done anything wrong,it is all my fault.May god,ghosts and spirits spare the lives of the people and punish me for my ignorance and stupidity." He cut his hair and fixed his fingers in wooden hoops.In doing so,Tang was offering himself as a sacrifice to pray for Heaven's mercy and blessing.People throughout the country were glad to hear about this.
