释义 | I stopped my reading in sixth paragraph, it centers on a phrase “show off”, which means someone behaves so as to try to get attention and admiration and admiration or show proudly. In the reading process, what are they showing off puzzled me. I could argue that it was a derogatory term. The intense young woman was exciting in talking; she cares about the peace and right. It looks as if she permeated with sense of justice and kindhearted. Maybe she had prepared this topic for a long term, and in every party she talks about it. It’s the same to the scholarly fellow. But I can’t understand why the writer said the third kind of people was showing off. Are they showing off tired in family to the person who hasn’t got married? The annual party provides room for people, and they try any means to make others had different impact with themselves. For this reasons, they were showing off. |
