After perusing para.7, Firstly, I look up the dictionary to learn some new words. The word of “on-going” means continuing, not stopping; and “transfer” stands for “the process of moving to a different place, position, or job”. From the context, I guess “provisional” is the synonym of “temporarily”, then the reference book proves my conjecture, it really means for the time being, for a little while. The main idea of this paragraph is that working conditions today are not the same as before and people no longer relay on taking one job for life. I do like the Land’s End Company, because it is sensitive to the personal needs of their employees and value the individual. I hope I can enter this type of company in the future. |
